Southeast Business Growth Fund

The Southeast Business Growth Fund (SBGF) is the flagship initiative of the Ike-Elechi Ogba Foundation, created to provide grants and capacity support to entrepreneurs and small business owners in Nigeria’s Southeast.

Why It Matters

The Southeast is home to some of Nigeria’s most enterprising people, yet many entrepreneurs struggle with access to funding and structured support. The SBGF is designed to close this gap by equipping business owners with the resources and networks they need to grow and scale.

What the Fund Offers

  • Grants for Entrepreneurs: Direct financial support to innovative businesses in the Southeast.

  • Capacity Building: Training and mentorship opportunities for both winners and applicants.

  • Community of Support: Access to networks of fellow entrepreneurs, mentors, and policymakers.

The Conference

Each year, the Fund is commemorated with the Southeast Business Growth Conference — a gathering of entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers, and sponsors. The conference provides a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and celebrating grant recipients.

Watch out for the release of our Impact Report, highlighting the achievements of the Fund and the entrepreneurs it has supported.

Business Growth Workshops

To extend impact beyond the annual conference, we launched the Business Growth Workshops — monthly online sessions designed to equip entrepreneurs with practical knowledge. Each workshop features an experienced facilitator who shares tools, strategies, and insights to help businesses thrive.

What’s Next

We are preparing for the next edition of the Southeast Business Growth Fund and Conference. With each cycle, our vision remains clear: to raise a generation of resilient, innovative business leaders who will drive growth across the Southeast.
